About
The Swede Beat founded 2009 in Brooklyn, NY is a creative venture dedicated to Swedish contemporary pop culture. With an online magazine, club nights, projects and more The Swede Beat will connect you to the new exciting faces of Sweden, showcasing the latest in Swedish indie music, fashion, art and culture.
The Team
Our international team is led by Swedish/ American editor-in-chief and founder Lydia Kellam based in New York, USA. Carolina Krupinska is our creative director based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Events
In addition we host events such as release parties, DJ gigs, art exhibits, fashion shows etc to promote Swedish culture in New York and Stockholm. So far we co-hosted events for Miike Snow, Taken By Trees, El Perro Del Mar, Air France, Kornel Kovacs and CMJ showcase with new Swedish talents. Interested in teaming up with us for a event? We also host The Swede Beat & Friends, a monthly club night at Trophy Bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn where we invite people from Swedish culture scene to DJ and dance with us. So far we had Korallreven, Marcus Price, Jenny Mortsell, Mayoho and more to come DJ with us.
